The Russian authorities have already visited the administration of US President Joe Biden with requests to organize the first contacts for future interaction, said the Russian ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov.
Moscow is counting on “pragmatic cooperation” with Washington, Antonov noted on the Soloviev Live Youtube channel.
According to the ambassador, the Russian authorities made inquiries to organize the first contacts with the people who took over the State Department and the White House. The diplomat also stressed the importance of the need to “start thinking about what we can do together.”
Earlier that day, Antonov gave a forecast for further actions of the United States in relation to the Russian Federation. He believes that Washington will continue to put pressure on Moscow.
