Russia is developing a skin test to assess immunity to coronavirus

The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that a skin test is being developed in the Russian Federation to assess immunity to coronavirus.

According to her, such a universal test was proposed by specialists from the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Pasteur, RIA Novosti reports.

His preclinical studies have already begun. The skin test is expected to be available by the fall of 2021, Popova said.

Earlier it became known that the first rapid test to detect antibodies to coronavirus after vaccination was registered in our country.

The reagents of this test are tuned, first of all, for the “Sputnik V” preparation.

To conduct the study, only a drop of blood is needed, and the result will be ready in 15 minutes. The reliability of such a test, according to the developers, is 96%.
