Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov spoke about the negotiations with Kazakhstan regarding the supply of domestically produced liners SSJ100 and MS-21, reports TASS.
According to the head of the department, the Russian side is not yet planning to “aggressively enter foreign markets” with the export of aircraft, but this work is already underway. Mainly, as he specified, the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will be considered.
“We are currently negotiating with Kazakhstan on this topic, this applies to the MS-21 and SSJ-100,” Manturov said.
During a recent meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, the minister discussed with him the topic of supplies, including a gradual transition to substantive negotiations with a potential buyer – one of the Kazakh airlines.
At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasized that it is too early to talk about the quantity and specific timing of supplies.
Meanwhile, Russia and the UAE are forming a joint venture to design and build a supersonic passenger business jet.
