Rospotrebnadzor allowed the introduction of additional restrictions in the event of a worsening situation with coronavirus in Russia. This was stated by Natalya Pshenichnaya, Deputy Director for Clinical and Analytical Work of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of the Department, Interfax reports.
Pshenichnaya explained that everything will depend on the dynamics of the incidence and new restrictive measures may be needed if it grows. She stressed that the tightening can be avoided if the currently recommended sanitary requirements are met. According to Pshenichnaya, if they are observed, Russia will reach a plateau during October or early November, but more accurate forecasts are not yet possible.
Earlier on September 30, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said that there was no reason to impose special restrictions, since six of the eight federal districts did not have significant changes in coronavirus indicators.
Over the past day, 8481 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Russia in 84 regions of the country. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,176,286 cases of coronavirus in 85 regions have been identified in the country, 20,722 deaths and 958,257 recoveries.
