Rogozin recommended the Minister of Information of Kazakhstan not to visit Baikonur

The head of the Roscosmos state corporation, Dmitry Rogozin, advised the new Minister of Information of Kazakhstan, Askar Umarov, not to visit the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

“We will not be happy with Minister Askar Umarov at the Baikonur Cosmodrome. We don’t wait for him there,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Recall that Umarov was appointed Minister of Information and Social Development on January 11. He is known for his Russophobic statements, in connection with which he is banned from entering Russia.

Earlier, Rogozin said that the day at Baikonur passed without incident, all structures of the state corporation, city services and the police are working as usual. Against the backdrop of the situation in the country, the protection of key facilities of the cosmodrome has been strengthened.

Since January 2, mass protests have been held in Kazakhstan against the increase in prices for liquefied gas. The state of emergency is in effect in the country. Also, the CSTO troops were introduced there.

Earlier it was reported that an increased level of terrorist threat was set at Baikonur. It will be valid until January 19th.
