Roskomnadzor demanded that the American company Meta immediately restore access to the official page of the Russian delegation at the talks in Vienna on military security and arms control on Facebook, RIA Novosti reports.
The RKN also asked the company that owns the social network Facebook to report on the reasons for the restrictions.
The letter of the Russian department emphasizes that these actions of the administration of the social network violate the key principles of free dissemination of information and unhindered access to it. Roskomnadzor regards this act as an act of censorship.
Earlier, the head of the delegation, Konstantin Gavrilov, said that Facebook explained their actions by the presence of prohibited content in the account. However, representatives of the delegation only reposted statements by the Russian leadership and the Russian Foreign Ministry.
