RFU President Dyukov elected to the UEFA Executive Committee

President of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Alexander Dyukov was elected to the executive committee of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) during the organization’s congress in Montreux, Switzerland, TASS reports.

Nine candidates claimed eight seats in the executive committee, 50 out of 55 delegates to the Congress voted in favor of Dyukov.

The UEFA Executive Committee consists of the president of the organization and 16 other members elected by the congress, including at least one woman, two representatives chosen by the Association of European Clubs and one member of the European leagues approved by the organization’s congress.

Alexander Dyukov was first elected head of the RFU in 2019, at the beginning of February he was re-elected for a new term.
