The Israeli Ministry of Health canceled the mandatory wearing of protective masks on the street due to a decrease in the level of coronavirus infection from April 18, reports TASS, referring to the press service of the department.
As specified, during outdoor meetings, masks are still required. The use of protective equipment also remains mandatory on premises other than personal living space.
In addition, the ministry recommended that citizens, while on the street, still “have a mask with them.”
A decrease in the incidence has been observed in the country for more than a month. At the end of last year, vaccination of the population began in Israel using a drug from Pfizer. By the end of March, 50% of the population of the country, whose population is more than 9 million people, had already received vaccinations.
