Residents of Donbass can get into the Russian program for the resettlement of compatriots. In this case, residents of Donetsk and Luhansk will be significantly simplified the procedure for obtaining resettlement.
With such an initiative on Monday came the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, which has prepared a corresponding draft decree.
It is proposed to amend the state program to provide compatriots living in the territories of certain regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine with the right to submit applications for participation,
– the message says.
In this case, residents of the DPR and LPR will be able to apply and receive a special certificate of the program participant. Moreover, if they are in Russia, they do not need to return to Donbass for this, RIA Novosti reports.
Note that the compatriot resettlement program, launched in 2006, allows residents of the CIS countries to move to Russia under a simplified scheme.
It is noteworthy that many residents of the DPR and LPR already have passports of Russian citizens. According to political analysts, this is the main deterrent for the Ukrainian military, who have long dreamed of seizing Donbas by force.
