Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that half of the hacker attacks during the elections to the State Duma were carried out from the United States. “Isn’t that a reason to start dismantling?” – asked the politician.
Let us recall that the elections of the new convocation of the State Duma deputies took place in Russia for three days: from 17 to 19 September. Remote electronic voting took the same number of days. At the same time, almost from the very beginning, the electoral process was overshadowed by a massive hacker attack on the servers of the Central Election Commission and on the online voting site.
As it turned out, half of them came from a country that is enforcing democratic principles around the world.
“According to the Ministry of Digital Development, approximately 50% of these attacks originated from the United States of America,” Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, said in an interview with RT.
The politician asked a logical question in connection with the revealed circumstances: “Isn’t this a reason to start dismantling?”
