The Ukrainian security service has filed charges against the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
The SBU also accused Daniil Martynov and Hussein Mezhidov of allegedly committing war crimes. Kyiv believes that all of them are involved in the development and planning of individual military operations.
For example, Martynov has been accused of allegedly taking 500 people hostage from a nursing home in the Borodyansk PND on his orders. In addition, SBU officials suggest that Chechen commanders may be involved in the “holding” of “almost 200 residents of Gostomel” in the basements of high-rise buildings.
