Radev leads the presidential elections in Bulgaria

The incumbent President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, is gaining 49.5% of the vote, according to an exit poll conducted by Market Links.

For his closest rival Atanas Gerdzhikov, 26.5% of the citizens who came to the polls voted.

If none of the leading candidates, according to the official results, gains 50% + 1 vote, then on November 21 the second round will take place.

Let us remind you that the voting in the presidential and parliamentary elections ended in Bulgaria on November 14 at 20:00 local time.

There were more than 13 thousand polling stations in the country, the turnout by 16:00 was 25.72% or 1.7 million voters. This was a record low.

We add that representatives of 20 parties and 7 coalitions are fighting for the right to sit in parliament, and 23 candidates competed for the post of head of state.
