Ilya Kiva, a deputy from the Opposition Platform – For Life (OPLZ) party, said that a collection of signatures had started among parliamentarians of the Verkhovna Rada for the impeachment of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
Kiva called the moment “historic” and posted a photo of the list with nine captions.
On February 4, OLE announced the start of impeachment proceedings against Zelensky. A corresponding resolution was adopted at the party congress.
By this action, the organization condemned the imposition by the president of sanctions against the deputy from the OLEZ Taras Kozak and his three TV channels – “112 Ukraine”, NewsOne and ZIK. The party called the actions of the Ukrainian leader “anti-constitutional and illegal.”
In response, Zelensky’s spokeswoman Yulia Mendel accused the opposition of trying to provoke a crisis in the country.
