Vladimir Putin announced the invariability of Russia’s position on the settlement of the Palestinian problem: it should be resolved in accordance with the approaches of the UN Security Council and taking into account the interests of all residents of the region, TASS reports.
The Russian leader said this at the talks with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, which took place today in Sochi.
The President of the Russian Federation promised that work in the indicated direction will continue, “no matter how difficult it is.” Putin also expressed his joy over Abbas’s visit and stressed the need for regular meetings and exchange of views.
In addition, the head of the Russian Federation urged to rebuild the work of the intergovernmental commission of Russia and Palestine, suspended due to the pandemic, as soon as possible, RIA Novosti writes.
Earlier it was reported that on November 25, talks between Vladimir Putin and Serbian leader Aleksandr Vucic will take place in Sochi.
