Russian President Vladimir Putin said that as long as the issues of organizing fire-fighting measures remain unresolved, it is necessary to improve the system for preventing and eliminating emergency situations (ES).
On Thursday, February 18, he laid the onion of the kingdom with an operational meeting with members of the Russian Security Council, at which they discussed the elimination of the consequences of natural disasters, such as floods and forest fires.
According to Putin, the issues concerning the organization of the functioning of the subsystems of fire-prevention measures and the forecast of dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena remain unresolved.
The President stressed that in order to solve these problems, further improvement of the monolithic state system for warning and elimination of emergency situations, its territorial and functional subsystems is required.
Putin added that it is also necessary to pay attention to preventive measures, maintenance of the appropriate level of technical equipment and readiness of the rescue forces.
