Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that risks in all areas may grow in the world in the near future, reports TASS.
According to the head of state, the coronavirus pandemic has exacerbated the problems of the world community, while traditional measures to stimulate the economy have already exhausted themselves.
He also said that now the imbalance problems have become especially noticeable in the social sphere, politics and economy, RIA Novosti reports.
“The coronavirus pandemic, which has become a serious challenge to all of humanity, has spurred and accelerated structural changes, the preconditions for which have already been formed quite a long time ago,” he said during a speech at the Davos forum, which is taking place online this year.
Earlier, the International Monetary Fund improved its forecast for the growth of the Russian economy in 2021 to 3%.
Also, at the end of December, Putin said that the problems in the country’s economy caused by the pandemic should be resolved at the end of 2021 – the first quarter of 2022.
