Russia’s proposal to impose a moratorium on the deployment of intermediate and shorter-range missiles (INF) remains in place. This was stated by Russian leader Vladimir Putin, reports TASS.
He noted that the Russian Federation has declared a unilateral moratorium on the deployment of intermediate and shorter-range missiles in the Asia-Pacific and other regions of the world. Putin also drew attention to the fact that Russia called for a serious discussion of all interested countries on this issue.
The President announced that this proposal remains in effect. Moreover, its relevance continues to increase, Putin added.
Earlier, the Russian Ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, said that Moscow and Washington will have a difficult conversation on intermediate and shorter-range missiles. He believes that such an arms race should not be allowed.
