At the beginning of February, broadcasting of three opposition TV channels was banned in Ukraine. Such a decree was signed by the country’s President Vladimir Zelensky. The actions of the leader of Nezalezhnaya have already been criticized by many politicians, accusing them of reprisals against the media objectionable to the authorities.
Vladimir Putin commented on the closure of three Ukrainian TV channels at a meeting with leaders of the State Duma factions. The President noted that in this way double standards were manifested, and so vividly that it is now obvious how opponents will deal with Russia.
The head of state noted: in Ukraine, three leading TV channels “slapped with one stroke of the pen”, but some approvingly pat on the shoulder of the one who made this decision. Putin believes that Vladimir Zelensky and his team go to great lengths to achieve geopolitical goals.
Meanwhile, the Verkhovna Rada began collecting signatures in support of the impeachment of the current president of Ukraine. The Opposition Platform – For Life Party initiated this process after the 112 Ukraine, ZIK and NewsOne TV channels were closed.
We will remind, earlier Vladimir Putin spoke about the armed conflict in Donbass, which has been going on for eight years. The President said that Russia will not abandon this territory, no matter what. At the same time, the head of state noted: before making any decision, it is necessary to think about the consequences.
