Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with General Director of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation (KTRV) Boris Obnosov. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.
The Russian leader noted that over the 20 years since the creation of the corporation, it has been possible to preserve its basic enterprises. They, according to the president, at the first stage were its core, which was subsequently developed.
During the conversation, Obnosov told Putin about the activities and main successes of Tactical Missile Armament. The general director said that today KTRV unites 38 enterprises, which employ 55 thousand people. In addition, the corporation has almost completely occupied the niche of aviation weapons and 70% – in naval weapons, Obnosov emphasized.
The head of state noted that the corporation is experiencing difficulties with the development of the civilian unit. The head of the enterprise agreed with the words of the president, but said that his employees had developed artificial joints, pipes for thermal power plants and other products made from composite materials.
KTRV is one of the largest domestic defense-industrial holdings. The corporation was founded in 2003. Later, several specialized design bureaus and factories were added to it.
