Russian President Vladimir Putin turned to his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko with a proposal to go skiing together after working negotiations, RIA Novosti reports.
In his welcoming speech, the Russian leader stressed that he was very glad to have a personal meeting with Lukashenka, expressing the hope that they would still manage to spend some time together, “to relax after today’s working hours”.
“I would like to invite you to ski,” Putin said.
The meeting of the leaders of the two states is taking place on Monday in Sochi. At it, the parties should discuss bilateral relations and the international agenda, as well as joint response to emerging challenges.
