Putin instructed to submit ideas for the creation of a railway route to the Barents Sea

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to submit proposals for the creation of a railway route to the Barents Sea near the bay of the Indiga River, according to the Kremlin website.

The deadline for completion is May 10 of the current year.

In addition, the government needs to ensure the development and approval of an action plan for the preparation and holding in 2024 of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the start of construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was appointed responsible.

Earlier it was reported about the President’s intention to instruct the head of Russian Railways, Oleg Belozerov, to assess the railway connectivity of Russian regions.
