On September 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a videoconference meeting with the interim head of Chuvashia, Oleg Nikolayev.
They discussed issues that relate to the socio-economic development of the region, including the situation with unemployment and the sanitary and epidemiological situation for coronavirus, the press service of the administration of the head of Chuvashia said.
Nikolaev told the president that it was necessary to build a third transport half-ring. He asked Putin to help raise funds in the amount of 5.4 billion rubles for the construction of the first stage of the facility.
The President instructed the Acting Head of Chuvashia to work out environmental issues.
The head of the region drew attention to the situation with the Shemurshinsky reservoir, which was created several years ago as part of the "Clean Water" program. Now the facility is mothballed, if it is launched, then 60 thousand people can be provided with quality water. Nikolaev asked the president to support the project, which is estimated at 1.7 billion rubles.
