Administration of the President of Russia
Members of the Valdai Club raised the topic of the threat of terrorism at a meeting that opened on Monday in Sochi. President Vladimir Putin noted that the lack of prospects can push low-income citizens to violence or the desire to leave the country.
“The problems of poverty and medical care are pushing poor countries to terrorism,” the president said.
The club session also raised other issues. Putin noted that the meeting is taking place without a specific agenda and promises a large-scale discussion on various topics.
