Putin: EU uses migration crisis to put pressure on Minsk

Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the European Union of using the migration crisis to put pressure on Belarus. TASS reports.

The head of state stressed that one should not ignore the fact that the West is using the crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border as a new reason for pressure. At the same time, Putin notes, European countries forget about their own obligations in the humanitarian sphere.

Also, during an expanded meeting of the collegium of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the President criticized the actions of the Polish security forces in relation to migrants. The head of state said that in this situation, it is very pity for the children.

“Small children are there, but no – they are pouring water, throwing tear gas grenades,” Putin added.

Despite the migration crisis in Belarus, Russia will continue to develop integration processes with the republic. The leader of the state noted that all 28 union programs for the formation of a common economic space will be implemented.

Earlier it was reported that British Foreign Minister Elizabeth Truss accused Russia of the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border. The Federation Council of the Russian Federation called these statements cynical.
