Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Viktor Grin was relieved of his post. This decree was signed by President Vladimir Putin.
“To dismiss Viktor Yakovlevich Grin from office on January 1, 2021,” reads a document published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
As noted by TASS, dismissal is associated with reaching the age limit for this position. On January 1, Greene turns 70.
Viktor Grin started working in the prosecutor’s office in 1976. In Omsk, from 1992 to 1994, he was the city’s prosecutor, and in 1994-2000 – deputy and first deputy prosecutor of the Omsk region.
In 2000-2001 he became the prosecutor of the Chita region. Then he worked for five years as a prosecutor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. He held the post of Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation since 2006.
