Putin discussed with Lukashenka the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine

Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko discussed the events in Ukraine by phone. This was reported by the press service of the Kremlin.

The leaders of the Russian Federation and Belarus spoke about the course of Russia’s special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass.

Putin stressed that the operation is going according to plan, all tasks are being solved and will be completed. Lukashenka, in turn, expressed support for the actions of the Russian side.

The heads of state also touched upon some issues related to the second round of talks held the day before between representatives of Russia and Ukraine.

Earlier, Lukashenka reported that the Belarusian air defense forces were put on alert due to possible provocations. He stressed that the Belarusian army does not participate in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine and has never participated.
