Putin discussed issues of strategic stability at a meeting with the Security Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed issues of strategic stability with permanent members of the Russian Security Council. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press secretary of the country’s leader Dmitry Peskov.

According to him, during the meeting the issues of socio-economic development of Russia were also considered, the meeting participants exchanged views on the issue of arms control.

In particular, the event was attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Interior Ministers Vladimir Kolokoltsev, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov and others.

Earlier today, Putin submitted to the State Duma a draft amendment on the priority of the Constitution in the Labor, Housing and Land Codes. Also, the head of state introduced to the State Duma a bill abolishing age restrictions for civil servants who were appointed and removed from office by the country’s leader.
