Vladimir Putin appreciated the work of Mikhail Degtyarev as Acting Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, having met with him in person in Moscow today, February 16. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.
“I see that in general, in the main areas of work, you have already immersed yourself quite well in these issues and problems, keep your finger on the pulse,” the president said.
Degtyarev reported to the head of state on the situation in the region.
Putin suggested that the acting governor discuss each of the issues in more detail and expressed confidence that their solutions would be found.
Degtyarev, 39, was appointed to his post in July after ex-governor Sergei Furgal was removed from office due to a loss of confidence. Prior to that, Degtyarev headed the Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs, was a member of the LDPR faction.
