Putin at the APEC summit appeared in a traditional New Zealand cape

Russian President Vladimir Putin wore a traditional New Zealand cape at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) online summit.

This time, New Zealand is chairing the summit. Traditionally, at such events, the heads of state try on the national types of clothing of the presiding country.

The footage published by the Kremlin press service shows that the heads of many countries have put on a cape, including the leaders of Canada, China, Chile, the Philippines, and Thailand.

At the summit, the leaders of the countries discuss the issues of post-pandemic economic recovery, as well as the key areas of APEC work for the period until 2040. During his speech, Putin noted that the level of economic development in Russia has returned to the pre-pandemic level.
