Russian leader Vladimir Putin and the first head of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in a telephone conversation highly appreciated the ongoing strengthening of relations between the two countries, TASS reports.
It is noted that the interlocutors wished each other a Happy New Year. Putin and Nazarbayev noted that Kazakh-Russian relations are developing in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance for the benefit of the friendly peoples of the two states.
Earlier it became known that Putin wished the leaders of a number of foreign countries a Merry Christmas and New Year. Thus, he sent congratulatory telegrams to the heads of Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Germany, France, Turkey, Argentina and others. Congratulating President of Moldova Maya Sandu, the head of the Russian state noted that the development of friendly relations, strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields would meet the long-term interests of the two countries.
