“Just before the G20 emergency summit in a video conference format, an exchange of views was held on the situation around the coronavirus pandemic. Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron informed each other about measures introduced in Russia and France to counteract the spread of this infection and minimize the negative socio-economic consequences, ”the Kremlin website reported.
It is noted that the parties reaffirmed their commitment to further coordination on the return of citizens of the two countries to their homeland. In addition, they discussed the provision of conditions for the transportation of medical supplies and equipment.
“In the context of the joint fight against the virus, the possible interaction within the UN Security Council was also discussed,” the report said.
