The meeting between the heads of the Russian Federation and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, is taking place in Sochi, BelTA informs.
The parties discussed bilateral relations and the international agenda, as well as joint response to emerging challenges, including the military security sphere.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Russian President noted that the mechanisms of interaction between the two countries have long been established and work well.
Lukashenko, in turn, thanked the head of the Russian Federation for helping the economy of the republic, assuring that “the money is not wasted.”
According to the agency, there is no strict timetable for the meeting. After the talks, Putin and Lukashenka are planning to have lunch and ski.
