The presidents of Russia and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, went skiing in Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi after a working meeting, TASS reports.
Having got off the lift after skiing on one of the slopes, the heads of state changed their skis to snowmobiles. The Russian leader, passing by other vacationers, slowed down and waved at them. Then Putin and Lukashenko returned to the residence for a joint dinner in an informal setting.
On Monday, the President of the Russian Federation held talks with his Belarusian counterpart, the focus of politicians is on bilateral relations and international cooperation. The heads of state discussed the issue of joint response to emerging challenges, in particular, in the field of military security.
In turn, Vladimir Putin pointed to the importance of interaction between Russia and Belarus, noting that the volume of humanitarian ties between the countries remains at a very high level. In addition, the President drew attention to the proximity of the peoples of the two states.
