Putin and Erdogan reaffirmed their commitment to further partnership between Russia and Turkey

During a telephone conversation, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed their commitment to further mutually beneficial partnership between Russia and Turkey. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.

The report says that the leaders of the two countries during the conversation discussed proposals for the development of legally formalized agreements on security guarantees for Russia. In addition, Putin and Erdogan paid attention to the situation in the Transcaucasus, as well as to the issues of the Syrian and Libyan settlement.

The press service added that the parties exchanged New Year’s greetings and summed up the key results of bilateral cooperation.

Recall that in the New Year message to Erdogan, Putin noted that a lot has been done recently to develop relations between Moscow and Ankara. According to the Russian leader, Russia and Turkey have good prospects for cooperation in peaceful space exploration, vaccine production and close partnership in international affairs.
