Aleksey Pushkov, Chairman of the Federation Council Commission on Information Policy, commented on the statement by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin about Ukraine’s readiness for full-scale hostilities in Donbass.
Earlier, the head of the self-proclaimed republic said that at the moment the situation on the contact line is developing in such a way that Kiev is ready to escalate the conflict.
In his official Telegram channel, Pushkov noted that Kiev is “raising the stakes” around the conflict in Donbass after Joe Biden came to power and his administration promises not to leave Ukraine alone “in the face of Russian aggression.”
According to the senator, Ukraine intends to somehow involve the Western alliance in a confrontation on the territory of Donbass.
Earlier, Pushkov also expressed the opinion that direct US military intervention in this conflict “would be complete madness.”
