The protesters are trying to storm the building of the Armenian Prosecutor General’s Office in Yerevan, demanding the arrest of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.
The police are pushing back the protesters. Detentions began at the building of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
Let us remind you that the situation in the region worsened at the end of September last year. In November, Moscow, Baku and Yerevan signed an agreement on the cessation of hostilities and the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh. After Pashinyan signed an agreement, protest actions began in the capital of Armenia demanding the resignation of the prime minister.
Earlier it was reported that since the end of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, more than 50 thousand refugees have returned home.
On January 30, at a meeting in Moscow, the trilateral working group on Nagorno-Karabakh will discuss the restoration of transport infrastructure in the region.
