According to the politician, this action plan was developed by the Ministry of Energy. Similar measures will be taken if the air temperature begins to decrease.
“Since November 1, NKREKU has not extended the ban on the import of electricity, that is, physically and legally, there is a possibility to import electricity from Belarus to Ukraine. This is already a question for companies, for the energy market, whether he will take advantage of this, whether there will be a need for it. There are such opportunities, ”he explained.
The physical volume of electricity supplied from Belarus can reach 900 MW. The prime minister added that as of today there are no import agreements, the unian portal reports.
Recall that at the end of May this year, the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities (NKREKU) banned the import of Belarusian and Russian electricity to Ukraine until October 1, 2021.
In early October, Ukrenergo held an auction, as a result of which Ukrainian corporations bought the opportunity to supply electricity from Russia in the amount of 2.2 GW and from Belarus – 900 MW.
