A request has been submitted through the lines of the embassy and the UK
The Czech authorities have not yet notified Moscow about the arrest of the Russian. A number of requests were sent to Prague with a request to clarify the circumstances of the incident, which was announced today, September 13, by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking at a press conference after talks with the Secretary of State of San Marino.
The Russian side hopes that Prague will act in strict accordance with the law and will not succumb to provocations of a political nature, the minister said.
It is known that inquiries were sent through the embassy and the Investigative Committee.
“The Czech side has not informed us yet. We want to understand what is being charged against our citizen and what is at stake,” commented the head of the Foreign Ministry.
According to the given data, there is currently no information from Prague on the detained citizen of the Russian Federation. The minister suggested that the talk, among other things, could be about the fight against neo-Nazi formations in the form of “volunteer battalions”, which even the western side recognizes as illegal.
We will remind, earlier it became known about the detention of a citizen of the Russian Federation Alexander Farchetti, a participant in the Crimean Spring. Prague acted on the basis of an international arrest warrant issued by Ukraine. The information was confirmed by the presidium of the Czech police. Russian diplomats are in contact with the detainee.
According to the head of the group on international issues at the Crimean mission, Alexander Molokhov, the detention of Farchetti speaks of the strengthening of the actions of anti-Russian forces.
