Poroshenko will return to Ukraine and will participate in court

Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will return to his homeland on January 17 and take part in the court hearing. He announced this in his Facebook account.

“On January 17, as I promised, I will return to Kiev to appear in court and hold a meeting with the Prosecutor General, taking advantage of the people’s deputy’s right to an urgent reception,” the ex-leader of the republic wrote.

According to the politician, the purpose of his return is to protect Ukraine “from incompetent leadership and external aggression.”

Poroshenko also noted that 2022 began with black swans. He explained that he means the protests in Kazakhstan and the upcoming meeting of the Normandy format advisers, which will be held without representatives from Kiev.

The former president was surprised that under such circumstances, the current Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky is resting at a ski resort in Ivano-Frankivsk region.

We will remind, Petro Poroshenko is suspected of treason and assistance to terrorism in the case of coal supplies from Donbass. The politician left Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that Poroshenko did not appear for questioning at the state bureau of investigation. His lawyer, Ilya Novikov, said that the ex-president will return to Ukraine in the first half of January.
