Ukrainians have “dropped their rose-colored glasses” on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy – this is the opinion expressed by former Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko on the air of Savik Shuster’s Freedom of Speech show.
“The hope that people cherished in 2019, associated with Zelensky, was completely replaced by disappointment,” Poroshenko said.
At the end of October, it was reported that Petro Poroshenko’s party for the first time since 2019 bypassed the ruling Servant of the People party in popularity. According to the opinion poll, when comparing the current government led by Volodymyr Zelensky and the previous one – under Poroshenko, the majority of respondents (44.9%) expressed the opinion that they did not see the difference. Another 29.9% believe that the current government is worse than the previous one, and only 22% are sure that Zelensky is running the country better.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a statement that he had not decided whether he would go for a second presidential term. He stressed that he does not intend to resign his powers until he fulfills all the promises made to the people.
