Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, upon arrival from Warsaw, passed through passport control at the airport in Kiev. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Poroshenko initially said that the border guards were trying not to let him into the country. According to him, they took away his passport under the guise of conducting an inspection.
“For more than ten minutes, the border guards do not let me in without explaining the reasons under the pretext of some kind of check on the territory of the country. I think this is a provocation with the aim of inciting mass actions,” said the ex-president.
Later, Poroshenko went through passport control and left the customs zone.
Earlier it was reported that the ex-president at the border control was handed a subpoena with a subpoena to choose a measure of restraint in the case of treason. It says that from the moment of arrival in Kiev, Poroshenko is called a detainee.
At the time of departure to Ukraine, the former leader stated that he was not afraid of being arrested, since the truth and the people of the country were behind him.
