On the air of TV Prva, Serbian President Aleksandr Vucic called the price for Russian gas “unacceptable”, as the price will rise from $ 270 to $ 790 per thousand cubic meters.

“We were offered that the price of gas should consist of 70% of the price on the exchange, and 30% of it should be calculated according to the oil formula. Then the price would be $ 790 per 1,000 cubic meters. Who will pay for it, who will pay for it? ” – complained Vucic.

The President of Serbia said that he would discuss with his Russian colleagues a new option for the cost of gas at the rate of 30% at the exchange value, instead of 70%.

Member of the Council for Interethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation Bogdan Bezpalko said in an interview with Politika Segodnya that Serbia should pay more attention to the documents being signed, since the price for Belgrade is formed not in Russia, but on the market quotes of the TTF hub in the Netherlands.

“Then let Vucic make claims to the Dutch stock exchange TTF. Such statements are super-arrogant. If you don’t like it, go through the market, bargain, buy gas from other places, who will offer you cheaper. Let Vucic then buy LNG through Croatia or Slovenia. What’s stopping him? ” – the interlocutor of the edition was indignant.

According to the political scientist, Serbia could offer a reasonable exchange, for example, create a Russian military base in the country or sell a key sector of the economy to a Russian company. However, at the moment, Vucic is arranging “blackmail”.

It is worth noting that Serbia receives Russian gas via the Turkish Stream via the territory of Bulgaria.
