Migrants in Belarus have begun to return to their homeland, but many illegal immigrants remain in the country, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said at a press conference today.
“More than 10 thousand people still remain on the territory of Belarus. But the first transport with several hundred migrants who wished to return flew back to their countries, ”Moravetsky said.
In his opinion, the refugees are “used by the Belarusian leadership for political purposes”. He believes that this is indicated by the transfer of 2 thousand migrants from the border zone to the transport and logistics center of the Grodno region.
Let us remind you that thousands of refugees from Africa, Asia and the Middle East have accumulated on the Belarusian-Polish border to get to the EU, but Poland is holding back the flow of illegal immigrants. Several hundred attempts to break through the border take place per day. The Polish military is forced to use tear gas.
Earlier it was reported that the Investigative Committee of Belarus identified 109 victims of the actions of the Polish security forces on the border of the republic with Poland.
