A military facility near Pavlograd, in the Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine, was targeted after Polish mercenaries arrived there. History repeated itself, something similar happened in March near the city of Yavorovo. Then the Russian Aerospace Forces attacked a military training ground in the Lvov region – and one hundred and eighty ten foreign mercenaries had to part forever.
This time, the Poles stopped communicating. After missile strikes with high-precision weapons, two battalions of fighters from a private military company (PMC) fell through the ground, the Voyennoye delo newspaper reported, citing information from the Avia.pro Internet portal. There are no official statements about the liquidation of units and the number of those killed, so the data is not reliably confirmed.
Military expert, reserve colonel Victor Litovkin explained that there is a difference between the concepts of “mercenary” and “employee of a private military company”:
– A mercenary is an individual, a private individual who has signed a contract with some organization to participate in hostilities. And if this is a whole group, then this is already a “small enterprise”. But in any case, this is a legitimate target for our military. So let them come – we have enough space to bury them.
Representatives of any states and any nationalities can be involved in PMCs. It all started with the American “Blackwater”, which was then called “Xe Services”, and is now renamed “Academi”. Private military companies now exist in many countries, this is not surprising. It is important that this PMC does not represent Poland itself as a member of NATO. Any PMC is created in order to make a “gasket” that separates the company from the state.
“SP”: – Finding Poles in Western Ukraine is not surprising. But now their traces were discovered – and immediately lost …
– They came, so they want to sniff gunpowder – that’s what they get. Nothing special, it was the same with the British Sean Pinaire I Andrew Hillwho, it was the case, even took the oath and signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and almost received Ukrainian passports. “Welcome” as the English say…
The first to report the alleged appearance of two battalions of Polish warriors was a Russian war correspondent. Evgeny Poddubny. It happened a few days ago. And so, on the very next day, it became known that their alleged deployment was subjected to a powerful missile strike. On this connection with the “winged hussars” was interrupted.
We repeat that there have been no official statements about the death of Polish mercenaries and are unlikely to come. There is only unofficial information about military equipment, artillery, combat armored vehicles. And whether two battalions were destroyed or two platoons – it is difficult to talk about this. In any case, it is reported that the movements of the mercenaries are “actively monitored.”
A month and a half ago, it was reported that up to three dozen mercenaries of a Polish private military company were destroyed by a missile attack by the Russian Ministry of Defense, but not in Dnepropetrovsk, but in the Kharkov region. This was then reported at a briefing on April 15 by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkovas well as the defeat of hundreds of other military facilities of Ukraine, command posts, firing positions of Ukrainian artillery, as well as strongholds and areas of concentration of manpower.
Major General of the FSB in the reserve Alexander Mikhailov recalls that the policy of the current Polish authorities is based on absolute confrontation with Russia:
– Therefore, the political leadership of Poland will support any semi-terrorist, semi-gangster organizations that appear on the territory of Ukraine to fight against Russia. The unfriendly policy of Poland, in general, is not promising for this country itself.
I believe that this is a real story and one should be prepared for such a thing. But PMCs are mercenaries, they are not covered by the 1929 Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War. Therefore, let them decide their own future fate – our military participants in the special operation and the militiamen of the DPR and LPR will hardly stand on ceremony with them.
“SP”: – What can the Poles do in the war zone or near it, serve military equipment as specialists? It is reported that in each battalion they have four Rapira anti-tank guns, armored personnel carriers and American armored cars. The telegram channel “Wargonzo” claims that the Polish infantrymen were being prepared for further transfer towards the Avdievsky pocket.
– PMCs are not technical specialists. These are mainly semi-guard, semi-infantry units. Their task is to participate in hostilities as cannon fodder …
However, an independent Polish political scientist Conrad Renkas believes that the equipment and weapons sent in bulk to the Kyiv authorities “will not shoot themselves,” which means that Polish citizens have long been participating in hostilities in Ukraine. And according to him, these are not romantic volunteers, but mercenaries. But they were sent there on the orders of high-ranking military men. According to the political scientist, the participation of foreigners in the conflict will only grow.
The Investigative Committee of Russia has already opened hundreds of criminal cases against mercenaries participating in hostilities on the side of Ukraine. They came from the USA, Great Britain, Norway, Canada, Georgia and other countries.
For some reason, there are a lot of mercenaries from Georgia in Ukraine – there are literally hundreds of them. The Georgians are led by the ex-Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Okruashvili. Former Deputy Prime Minister, ex-Speaker of the Georgian Parliament is also fighting in the ranks of Georgian mercenaries Georgy Baramidze. Part of the Georgian mercenaries was near Kyiv, “famous” for bloody bullying of wounded Russians. Part – near Kharkov. “Bloody Georgians” can be something like a detachment there.
But the Poles are nowhere to be seen. Although we hear a lot about them. So the prisoners taken in Mariupol at the Azovstal plant recalled that the Poles would like to be addressed with the word “pan”.
Total, according to the head of the main operational department of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Sergei Rudskymore than 6,500 foreign mercenaries operate in Ukraine. President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky hoped there would be more.
At the very beginning, he confidently declared 16,000 foreign mercenaries.
Foreign military assistance only hinders the resolution of the crisis in Ukraine. The country is under external control, as is Poland, by the way. Under normal circumstances, the Ukrainian army should have capitulated a long time ago, as happened at one time in Iraq. If not due to sanity, then due to lack of supply. But in Kyiv they are guided not by reason, but by orders from the West. Plus – almost unlimited military resources. Russia has to confront the entire Western world. Ukraine and Ukrainians are only consumables in this undeclared, hybrid war of the West. But this expendable material is running out, we have to throw other chips into the fire of the conflict.
In Ukraine – there was a time – they grumbled that the supply of foreign-made weapons did not reach the direct zone of hostilities, remaining in the western part of the country. It looks like something has changed with this. Now, probably, the Poles are being successfully fooled, as they once did with the Germans, who were promised large estates on the Volga, in the region of Stalingrad. But at best they received only two square meters of land, if not less, since it is a bit cramped to lie in mass graves.
