Poland intends to support repressed Belarusians

Poland is ready to provide assistance and support to all who have been persecuted in Belarus because of their beliefs, said the head of the office of the Prime Minister of Poland, Michal Dworczyk.

According to him, until the Belarusians are able to freely speak about their beliefs and the repressions continue, in accordance with the decision of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, everyone who faced political repression in Belarus can count on the tutelage of the Polish government, writes TASS.

Dvorchyk stressed that more than 100 Belarusians have already asked Poland to stay in the country.

Olga Kovalkova, confidant of opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, said that she was forced to leave Belarus, threatening her with prolonged arrest otherwise.
