Poland apologized for removing the Russian flag at the World Drafts Championships

Demian Reshka apologized for the incident that happened during the match between Russian Tamara Tansykkuzhina and Polish Natalia Sadovskaya. The incident looked unusually unsightly due to the fact that it happened directly in the course of the game.

Reshka drove a similar act by the fact that the former Polish Minister of Sports Witold Banka got in touch with the organizers, and then asked them to remove the Russian flag from the table.

In particular, the President of the European Drafts Federation Jacek Pavlitsky was threatened with the expulsion of the International Drafts Federation from WADA, if this requirement was not met.

According to the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Russian athletes will not be able to compete under the Russian flag at major international competitions until 2022.

The Kremlin offered to consider the incident settled due to the apology of the Polish side. The very same Russian woman, at the end of the meeting, suffered a cut.
