Figure skater Evgeni Plushenko opens his own academy in the Moscow region. The two-time world champion donated part of his own suburban area for her.
In the academy called “Plushenko’s Angels” young skaters will not only train, but also live. Cottages will be built there. They, in particular, will house Aleksandra Trusova and Alena Kostornaya, Plushenko said.
He admitted that as a child, he spent a lot of time and energy on trips to the place of training. And now he wants to free his best pupils from these burdens.
Talented children will also live in the cottages, Plushenko stressed. He promised to provide athletes with a healthy diet and train not only them, but also children with autism and Down syndrome.
