The Kremlin gave a harsh assessment of the actions of the Kiev authorities. Ukraine was called an unfriendly state.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that this conclusion was made after a number of anti-Russian statements from Ukraine. Aggression towards Moscow constantly dominates in Kiev’s policy.
According to Peskov, after the coup, Nezalezhnaya came under the influence of the United States and Europe. Over time, Ukraine “has turned into a political project of Western countries,” the press secretary of the head of Russia stressed.
Also, a Kremlin spokesman said that Ukraine has serious problems in the southeast of the country, but for some reason Kiev cannot or does not want to solve them by implementing the Minsk agreements.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he was not going to leave Donbass. The head of the country stressed that before his eyes there are people who have suffered as a result of the armed conflict in the south-east of Ukraine.
Relations between Moscow and Kiev deteriorated sharply in 2014, when Crimea became part of Russia after a referendum, and hostilities began in the Donbass. The Ukrainian authorities accused neighbors of interfering in the country’s internal affairs.
The Kremlin said that the annexation of the peninsula took place in accordance with all international laws and regulations. According to official data, most of the Crimean residents voted to join Russia.
