Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov announced an increase in the number of provocations in Donbass from Ukraine. RIA Novosti reports.
Peskov stressed that the general background is tense on the territory of the self-proclaimed republics. He believes that in its provocations Ukraine uses weapons supplied by NATO to the country. Peskov stressed that Kiev’s actions run counter to the Minsk agreements.
When asked whether Russia sees a concentration of troops on the Ukrainian side and whether the number of Russian equipment on the border with Ukraine has increased, the spokesman replied that this should be asked from the military.
“I can only say that in this case, any movement of Russian troops within our territory, and we are talking specifically about Russian territory, does not pose a threat to anyone and should not cause concern to anyone,” Peskov added, noting that the activity of Russian troops on the border did not increase.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian embassy called on the United States to influence Ukraine in the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
