A Kremlin spokesman commented on the refusal of the Tatarstan parliament to rename the post of the president of the republic.
“This is one of the opinions that will certainly be taken into account,” Peskov emphasized.
The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation noted that the Kremlin respects the position of each of the subjects of the country. The current assessment is not a final de jure decision, Peskov added.
The parliament of Tatarstan previously opposed the draft Federal Law “On the general principles of organizing public authority in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.” The document assumes a common name for the post of the highest official in all regions of Russia.
